What is an undertone?
An undertone is the color beneath the surface of your skin, which never changes (even with a tan). There are three types of undertones:
Pink/Cool
I see red or pink undertones around the perimeter of my face and neck.
My skin burns easily, but barely tans.

Neutral
I see both pink and yellow undertones around the perimeter of my face and neck.
My skin sometimes burns and sometimes tans.

Yellow/Warm
I see yellow or golden undertones around the perimeter of my face and neck.
My skin rarely burns, but tans easily.

Usage
Massage onto wet hair. Lather through from scalp to tips. Add more water to increase foaming. If you want to build tone faster, let the shampoo sit on the strand for 5-10 minutes. Tone correction will build gradually with each use. Rinse and repeat as desired.
This shampoo is designed not to stain your strands, but variances in hair porosity can produce different results. If you have concerns about how your hair will reacts with the non-permanent pigments in Silverist, try the shampoo on a small patch first.
Pro-tip
Customize your shampoo ritual to match your wash schedule. If you shampoo daily, a single cleanse is all you need. But if you go several days between washes, try a double cleanse—just split your usual amount of shampoo in two for a more effective, balanced clean.
